2002 NEIGHBORHOOD GOALS

UNIVERSITY HILLS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

 

 

Membership/

Involvement -             Increase membership to over 300 households. Continue to recruit and utilize enthusiastic residents to help expand and improve our neighborhood programs.

 

Communication -        Continue newsletter, expand neighbor participation on web page, and build on the new Neighborhood Block Captain Network.  Work for faster response to neighbors concerns and issues.

 

Social -                        Expand annual social events to include 2nd Annual Spring Festival, 4th of July Flag planting and children’s parade, Fall Festival, and Christmas Decorating Contest.  Improve "new neighbor" welcome effort and inclusion into neighborhood.

 

 

Safety-                        Building off of the block captain network create Neighborhood-wide Crime Watch. Develop

                                    University Hills car sticker identification program.  

 

Beautification -          Participate in the Centennial Beautification Program and apply for city grant. Continue to work toward the improvement of landscaping, physical attractiveness, and structural soundness of each residence.

Neighborhood

Identity -                     Work with TLCA to construct an identity monument sentry sign to University Hills on North Rochelle at the Golf Course.  Request city grant for coordinated Neighborhood Christmas Decorations for Christmas 2002.

 

Children -                   Create a committee to research the feasibility of developing a University Hills Neighborhood Playground.

 

Infrastructure-         Work with the City and TLCA to minimize damages, delays, and disruptions caused construction and/or repairs of streets, curbs, sidewalks, utilities, and other infrastructure.
