We just sold our house (closing in 30 days) but have not yet found a new house.  We are wanting to downsize from our current 4300 square feet to about 3500 plus.  We are looking for what I would call a very “contemporary home”, and at this point we do not care how much remodeling we would need to make it “new” again. We have looked around the area at homes that are for sale and haven’t found one yet.  However we notice a lot of clean-up and construction going on in the neighborhood. Anyone who is thinking about going on the market or finds this offer interesting… we would like to talk to them.

The following message was included in an article appearing in the Dallas Morning News on October 21, 2007 concerning the death of an elderly
couple in Wylie, Texas resulting from a gas leak and subsequent explosion  implicating a "pre-bent riser," which linked the gas meter of the home
of a Wylie couple to the main gas pipe with a compression coupling:

"The older compression couplings implicated in home explosions were installed on homes generally built before 1980. Atmos said it will send
a crew to the home to evaluate the equipment and replace the older coupling if customers ask for it. Atmos Energy asks that homeowners who
are concerned about their gas system call 1-866-286-6700 or the customer support number at 1-800-460-3030. Customers can also e-mail

custinfo@atmosenergy.com."

A University Hills resident has advised me that an individual is going house to house in UH selling magazines. The funds are supposedly to be used for his study abroad. He claims to be the child of a UH physician but the evidence does not bear that out. A scam is strongly suspected. Thought you should know.

Other residents have indicated that this individual is not the only one working the neighborhood. At least one of those so operating has shown aggressive tendencies.
