UNIVERSITY HILLS ASSOCIATION OF HOMEOWNERS

BOARD MEETING MINUTES

JULY 9, 2002

 

Don McGee, presiding in the absence of President, Arnold Martin, called the meeting to order at 7:43.  Board members present were Don McGee, Charles Schmidt, Mary Oberlin, Esther Nachimson, and Robin Filbeck.  Not attending were: Arnold Martin, Don Jensen, John Taylor, James Spriggs, Martin Kahn, Molly Kahn, Jim Wells, Nell Ann Hunt, Frank Murphy and Scott Wilson from TLCA.  Guests present were Robin Beggs and Paul Oldham.

 

The treasurer’s report was presented.  There was not a quorum so they will be approved at the August board meeting.  We have 19 checks that have been double paid for homeowner’s dues. 

 

The minutes were presented.  They will be approved at the August board meeting.

 

Several topics were discussed: 1.  The destruction of mailboxes.  2.  Recent crime in the area.  3.  Condition of some lawns not being mowed.  Letters have been sent by TLCA.   4. Focus on encouraging more homeowners to join. 5.  How to communicate with the 85 members who do not have E-mail.   6.  Should some of our parties and functions be for members only?

 

No motions were made.  No votes were taken.  No decisions made.

 

The next regular board meeting will be August 6, 2002 at the Las Colinas Country Club.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:13 A.M.
