                                    UHHOA Board Meeting

 

Meeting called to order @ 7:35am. Attending : Arnold Martin, Don Jensen, Robin
Filbeck, Christine Khatib, Paul Oldham, Craig Boleman, Kass Prince, Mary Oberlin,
Don McGee, Charles Schmidt. Also attending Robin Beggs ( who is Oldham's
replacement on his committee for the Rileys) and Rick Bidne & Susan High of
the Las Colinas Assn.

Minutes for Jan Bd meeting were approved.

Financal report as of the end of January was given by Don Jensen.  Total $ in
cking 7,091.41 and 3,742.06 in reserve for total bank balances of $10,833.47.
A total of 105 member dues have been rec'd as of Jan 31,2004.
Discussion ensued regarding the " reminder" notices to those who remain
unpaid. Craig Boleman will prepare a reminder invoice. A decision will be
discussed @ the March meeting as to how best to pursue the remaining unpaid.
Jensen also passed out a " tentative " budget for 2004 with a request to all
for suggested adjustments. Martin reported a contract signed and paid for 2004
" storage " @ DECURD.

Block Chief Robin Filbeck reported consideration still being given to membership
"decals" and " yard of the month " recognitions.

Paul Oldham discussed the plans for 2004 " Spring Fling " , to be held this year
@ Wingren Park from 4pm to 7pm Sat 4/24.  Petting Zoo, Jumping Cages, Golf
Chipping, live Band, and other attractions are already arranged.

Charles Schmidt gave a report on the progress on the BNRR underpass. Rick
Bidne added comments concerning rock facing and other improvements for
the asthetics. Discussion of the need for " bike lanes" was discussed again.
Pat Daly @ Univ of Dallas is vigorously pursuing this amenity.

Schmidt also moved that a letter from the Board be forwarded to the City
Secretary and Council with the wording " The Board of Directors of the University
Hills Association of Homeowners expresses it support of the City Council
calling for an open election so voters can decide whether or not to allow the sale
of beer and wine in grocery stores for off-premise consumption . "  Motion carried

Communications directors Craig Boleman and Kass Prince discussed future
" Chronicle " articles and other mailings.

Next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be March 2, same time, same place.
