Minutes of the University Hills Home owners Assn

August 3, 2004

The meeting was called to order by president Arnold Martin on August 3, 2004 at the LasColinas Country Club. Those present were Arnold Martin, Charles Schmidt, Jim Wells,Mary Oberlin, Don McGee, Paul Oldham, Craig Boleman, Robin Beggs, Susan High,Christine Khatib, Sharry Mackintosh, and Nell Anne Hunt.

Arnold announced the opening of the Northgate Drive railroad underpass occurred onMonday, August 2, 2004. He encouraged everyone to come to the grand opening on Friday,August 6 at 10 a.m.

Plans are underway for the annual meeting and Christmas decoration projects. Jennifer Doris hasvolunteered for the Holiday Lights Committee.

Yard of the month went to Andriette and Ken Frisbie, 4014 Wingren. Pictures are to be takenand included on the website.

Arnold Martin, Jim Wells, and Charles Schmidt attended a meeting on recycling. We want topromote this. Pick up is the second and fourth Friday. Blue bags are to be used for the recyclables. A plan to deliver sample blue bags to individual households by the block captains was discussed as part of an overall promotional for the recycling program of City of Irving.

Susan High introduced Sharry Mackintosh who is the Las Colinas Assn code enforcement representative for University Hills, Fox Glen, University Park, and Decker Drive. She has 82 to 85 properties not in compliance in University Hills. Sharry reviewed the code compliance procedures and the importance of proper, to code, maintainence.

Nell Anne Hunt said the scheduled end of year holiday lighting is set for Monday, the 29th of November. The committee will meet at Craig Boleman’s on September 20th, Monday at 6 P.M. to prepare for this event.

Paul Oldham reported he may be downsizing, moving out of University Hills, and will be needing a new chairman for the Spring Fling.

The next meeting will be on September 7th at the Las Colinas Assn offices since the Las ColinasCountry Club will be closed that day, the day after Labor Day.

There being no more business, the meeting was adjourned.
