UNIVERSITY HILLS ASSOCIATION OF HOMEOWNERS
                                                                                  Annual Meeting, Thursday, Nov 14, 2002

The By-Laws' of the UHAOH require an Annual Meeting. The meeting was held in the Ballroom of the Las Colinas Country Club. Those in attendance were asked to sign-in and verify our database information."  Coffee, sodas and delicious cookies were provided for an informal "getting to know neighbors" period.
 
President Arnold Martin called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. at the Las Colinas Country Club.  The formal part of the meeting began a 6:45pm with President Arnold Martin's welcome to those in attendance.

The first order of business was a treasurer's reports from Don Jensen who was commended for his fine work in stewarding our UHAOH monies.  A report is on file on the website.
 
There was not report from the secretary, Esther Nachimson.  She was not present during the business part of the meeting.

Reports were also presented by Gov't/Civic Relations by V P Charles Schmidt, Landscape/Beautification by Pat Andress,  Communications by V P John Taylor. Special Events by Nell Anne Hunt.

The Reports time was followed by a Group Exercise called SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities , and Threats ) led by
John Taylor in which each in attendance was asked to actively participate in idea exchanges about our Association.  The results of this
stimulating  discussion will be tabulated by John Taylor and posted to our website and communicated to the general membership.
The results of this effort will be the nucleus of the Association's 2003 GOALS.

The Nominating Committee, comprised of Past Presidents Don McGee and James Spriggs.  There were recommendations mailed to the full membership prior to the Annual Meeting.  It was explained that the By-Laws call for election of Officers and Directors on a bi-annual basis; therefore, the members present were asked to affirm the Officers & Directors for their past year's service and to pledge support for the coming 2003 year. The affirmation was followed with applause.

Acknowledgements of guests followed with Catherine Lesser representing the Las Colinas Association being recognized and thanked for all the support
University Hills receives from TLCA.

Three Irving City Councilmen were present for the entire meeting and were asked for comments and observations and to respond to questions.
Mayor Pro-Tem Rick Stopfer, Councilman Terry Waldrum and Councilman Sam Smith each made brief comments and answered questions from
the membership.

The formal part of the Annual Meeting was adjourned at approx 8:20pm and was followed with refreshments and informal visitation.
